Simple and Easy Bean Recipes
 Red bean, navy bean, pinto bean, green bean, black bean, lima bean, white bean recipes that have been collected from box tops, cans, newspapers, magazines and friends over the years.

 

Southwestern Style Green Beans

1 1/2 lb. fresh green beans or substitute 1 can drained green beans
4 strips bacon
2 Tbsp. pimento, chopped
1 Tbsp. vinegar
1/4 tsp. sugar
1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1/4 tsp. dry mustard
2 drops hot sauce (optional)

Cook fresh green beans and drain, or substitute 1 can drained green beans. Fry bacon until crisp; remove from
skillet. Add remaining ingredients to the bacon drippings. Bring to a boil. Pour over the beans and top with the crisp bacon, crumbled. Stir and serve.
Serves 4
