PEAR COBBLER CAKE

5 lg. Bartlett pears (6 c.), pared and sliced
1/2 c. sugar
2 tbsp. all-purpose flour
2 tsp. grated orange rind
1 tsp. cinnamon
4 tbsp. melted margarine
1 pkg. (one layer size) cake mix
1 pt. vanilla ice cream.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine pears, sugar, flour, orange rind and cinnamon in a large bowl; toss lightly to mix. Spoon into a shallow 2 quart baking dish, cover tightly. Bake 20 minutes, remove from oven, leave heat on while pear mixture cooks, drizzle melted butter over cake. Mix in medium size bowl. Stir with fork until evenly blended. Using you hands, crumble evenly over hot pear mixture. Bake, uncovered, 20 minutes longer, or until topping is golden. Cool about 30 minutes. Spoon into dish, top with ice cream. Serve warm. 8 servings.
