Veal Cordon Bleu

1 to 1 1/2 lb. veal cutlet, sliced and pounded very thin
1/4 lb. Swiss cheese, sliced deli-style
1/4 lb. baked ham, sliced deli-style
1/4 lb. mushrooms, sliced
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 egg, beaten
bread crumbs for coating
oil for frying

Take one slice of veal; place small piece of cheese on top of veal. Place small piece of ham on top of cheese. Place slice of veal on top. Continue making "veal, ham and cheese sandwiches" until all veal is used. Dip each "sandwich" in beaten egg and then bread crumbs. Brown in oil in pan on both sides. Drain oil from pan. Pour in mushroom soup and mushrooms. Add veal. Cover and simmer for 20 minutes.
